About Me

My background is in software technology, specifically transaction processing (2PC/XA, JTA) and messaging (JMS, P2P, Pub/Sub), using both Tuxedo OLTP and Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE/JEE).  Since the late 1990s I've worked predominantly with WebLogic and WebSphere JEE application servers, helping more than 100 clients improve their software architecture and build enterprise applications.  I typically manage JEE projects now, but I still find opportunities to work with application code.

I started trading options in the early 2000s, beginning with covered calls on biotech stocks.  After about a year of trading I started moving towards multi-legged options strategies on the US indexes (RUT, SPX, NDX) and futures (CL, 6E, ZB).  I prefer trading options on vehicles that have a favorable tax treatment; 1256 contract, form 6781.

In addition to options trading, I also manage my longer term accounts using momentum rotation strategies using ETFs and mutual funds.

I can be reached via the contact page on this blog.
